Search for a replacement for Reid.

It's getting very tiresome waiting for Winston to make his mind up on the new contract offer.
Let's assume he has already decided to run his present contract down and start looking for a replacement now.
I had a good look at Van Dijk of Celtic today,and he impressed me a lot.
Any other possible contenders you can think of?

it would not surprise me in the slightest if we only look short term at this whilst the likes of Burke and Oxford mature .

Liam Moore from Leicester City. Not an immediate replacement but is making fast progress and should challenge Collins and Tomkins by start of next season.

Rudiger would obviously be a great option, but he'd probably cost a fortune now. I also like Brooks - spotted him in the 2nd tier in Germany a couple of years ago!
The cheapest option is to get a short term option in and develop one of our youngsters, but doubtless the club will fail to do the right thing by our young players :).

Brooks certainly wouldn't struggle with the physical side of it. I think he'd do very well.

Coincidentally,Relegation Roger becomes a free agent next summer. If it wasn't for the fact that he is a SURREY boy who supports Chelsea,I would be all over that.*

Of he hasnt signed by Jan then put him up for sale. Hes taking the piss now and we need to get some cash for him to buy a replacemnent. I dont want him making a huge sighning on fee because he leaves as a free agent and fucks us over.

Van Dijk is decent, Rudiger would probably be out of our range but would be brilliant (there are a lot of top clubs after him with promises of European football, so I believe)
Weren't we supposed to be looking at Columbias CH in the summer ~ sorry can't remember his name

Dunk looks ok but gave away a really silly penalty against Bournemouth and his game deteriorated after that.

I remember about a year ago saying we should take a punt on Jack Hobbs who is now at Forest.
They signed him from Hull for about £1 Million and he was putting in some collosal performances before an ankle injury ruled him out until christmas
Since then Forest have fallen apart - he is still worth a punt IMHO
